» Terms and Conditions
Cartridges4Charity shall be referred to in these Terms and Conditions as "we", "our" or "us" and the donor or proposed donor of cartridges or phones as "you". These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire understanding between the parties for the supply of these items to Cartridges4Charity.
By using this web site, or the services described therein, you indicate your acceptance of these terms.
Use of the Site
We may store and use information about your use of this web site, and may use third party tools to enable this.
Charity Proceeds
Cartridges4Charity itself is a run as a not-for-profit. The net profit of all money raised from the cartridges sent by donors is split equally between three charities, after costs [website maintenance, staff costs, advertising, etc] have been deducted.
The three charities currently comprise:
- SeeAbility (Operating name of The Royal School for the Blind. #255913)
- Cruse Bereavement Care Scotland (#SC 031600)
- Cardiac Risk in the Young (#1050845)
Acceptance
Please note that we do not accept any items except those listed explicitly on our reusable cartridge lists.
Items not accepted include, but are not limited to:
- Epson cartridges
- toner 'bottles'
- fusers
- toner 'kits'
- ribbon cartridges
Please see our Recycling Guide to deal with these in an environmentally-appropriate manner.
If at any point we request that you stop using the service, you must take reasonable steps to prevent items from being sent. This would include contacting anybody to whom you have promoted the service.
Due to the volume of items returned, we are unable to return any items to the sender after having taken receipt of them.
Passing of Title
We shall assume full title to all items upon receipt. Items sent cannot be returned. We reserve the right to refuse receipt of consignments.
Postage and Collections
Damaged cartridges have a value of zero. Cartridges may be regarded as damaged if they fail an electrical test, have cases that are not intact, or have visible signs of damage to the print head.
We do not take any responsibility for the loss or damage to items during transit. It is strongly recommended that items are packed carefully to avoid risk of damage.
All items returned to us should be accompanied by the relevant account number, clearly indicated and legible, on the outside of the package. If items are not clearly marked with the account number, we cannot be held responsible for any problems with the processing of these items, and charities may not receive credit for these items.
We have the right to refuse and return any shipment of product we do not wish to accept.
Limitation of Liability
We offer no warranty or guarantee about the service, which may be withdrawn without notice.
